In March of 2008, Altria Group spun off Philip Morris International and executed a corporate restructuring that created the Altria family of companies. As part of the restructuring, Altria Client Services (ALCS) was formed as a professional services organization that exclusively provides an array of specialized services and support to Altria Group and its operating companies, including Philip Morris USA (PM USA). Many of these service-oriented departments previously were part of PM USA.
